From your arrival in Dublin, the Beauty of Ireland Tour takes you around all the most beautiful locations in Ireland in just eight days. You’ll be staying in gold/silver accommodation, including hotels, castle and traditional guesthouses, and travelling in our most luxurious vehicles.

 

As with all our tours, you’ll have your very own driver/guide, who’ll be only to happy to answer any questions you have about the wonderful sights you see along the way.

Day 1. Dublin to Galway


Your private driver/guide will be at the airport to greet you before whisking you off into the West. Our day begins with a visit to Athlone Castle dating from the 13thc built by the Normans, we continue to Clonmacnoice here you will view one of Irelands most decorated High Crosses, Clonmacnoice was founded by St. Ciaran in the 6th c. and is deemed one of Irelands most ancient monastic sites.
There’s a fascinating audio-visual tour to be taken here before we continue on to the city of Galway for the night.

Day 2. Connemara & Clifden

Our day starts with a visit to Connemara Marble before taking in Quiet Man Bridge, named after the famous film starring John Wayne and Maureen O’Hara. Then, it’s on to Clifden, passing the majestic 12 Bens Mountains. After lunch we take the Sky Road Drive with its sweeping views of the Atlantic. We visit Kylemore Abbey with its spectacular views of Lake Pollacappul, returning to your hotel in Galway in time for dinner.

 

Day 3. Cliffs of Moher & Killarney


Why not browse in Galway before we set off for Killarney passing the Burren, an amazing geological formation made up of 100 square miles of limestone, There’ll be plenty of time to make some stops along the way before we reach the majestic Cliffs of Moher, rising 700 feet out of the Atlantic. We stop at St. Bridgets Well our patron Saint to women and fertility and continue by ferry over the River Shannon through Tralee to check into your hotel for the night.

Day 4. Dingle

From Killarney we drive South West arriving at Inch Beach to take in the fresh Atlantic air and perhaps a few photos of the stunning coastline. We move South West passing the patchwork quilt hedgerow fields, of course you won’t be seeing this all from inside your vehicle. As with all our excursions, there’ll be plenty of opportunities to able to stretch your legs, before we take Slea Head Drive back to Dingle, taking in the 2000 year old Beehive Huts, the Blasket Centre with its audio-visual tour of the Blasket Islands and Gallarus, an eighth century early Christian dwelling. Time to browse Dingle village before returning to Killarney.

Day 5. The Ring of Kerry

Your fifth day sees you on one of the most popular drives in Ireland – the Ring of Kerry, offering unrivalled lake, ocean and mountain views – 100 miles of pure heaven.

Along the way we’ll stop at the Bog village to take in a history of the Bog and sample their famous Irish Coffee, walk along Derrynane beach off the beaten track, and visit Sneem a beautiful village along the Ring. The Ring of Kerry is part of the mystical & unspoilt region of Ireland that has attracted visitors for hundreds of years.

Day 6. The Blarney Stone & Waterford

No trip to Ireland would be complete without kissing the Blarney Stone, said to endow the speaker with extraordinary powers of eloquence, what we call in Ireland the 'gift of the gab'. Time to browse Blarney Woollen mills introducing to you the best of Irish fair. Cobh Heritage centre is our next stop Cobh is where the Titanic last docked before its ill fated journey. Here you can visit a heritage centre that has a story to be told, where 2.5 million adults and children emigrated on Coffin Ships, Steamers, and Great Ocean Liners, and the sinking of the Lusitania off Cork harbour in World War 1.

Afterwards, you’ll have a choice of touring the Jameson Distillery in Midleton, home of one of Ireland’s most famous whiskeys or visiting Waterford Crystal – the choice is yours before we stop for the night in Waterford.

Day 7. Waterford to Dublin

On day seven we visit Jerpoint Abbey before heading back to Dublin to see the Book of Kells at Trinity College and St Patrick’s Cathedral, overview of Dublin City with your driver, you have the opportunity to visit Temple Bar Dublin’s cultural quarter in the heart of Dublin City. Here you will find pubs with Irish music and a choice of excellent restaurants. Or take the time to reflex on your Ireland adventure and relax at your hotel. A perfect way to end your trip to Ireland.

Day 8.

Alas your driver will transfer you from your hotel to Dublin Airport with fond memories of the Emerald Isle and your new friend your driver, we say slan abhaile (safe home)
